Figural Pendant Watch

rosette Hand-painted Portrait Enamel Guilloche Lady's Pocket Watch with Swiss Movement

This is a strikingly gorgeous lady's pocket watch made by Quin with a Swiss movement by L & M.  I have had absolutely zero luck in tracking down any information regarding both the watchmaker or the manufacturer of the works.  All I know is that it dates from early 1900's and has a beautifully hand-painted Victorian woman on the back of the case surrounded in gold gilt and turquoise enamel guilloche.  The same color enamel guilloche is found on  the case surrounding the face of the watch.  To set it, you simply pull the stem at the top and push it in to wind it.  At the time of this posting, it is running just fine but just a tad slow.  This can be adjusted inside; I just haven't tried to do that.  It is in excellent condition with no apologies whatsoever.  It is MUCH nicer in person than the pictures are even able to show. Measures 1-1/8" diameter not counting the stem and bail.  Watch is presently running ... as with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time. We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

New England Watch Co. Sterling Watch

rosette Sterling Silver Swiss Watch with Blue Enamel Guilloche Case and Matching Fleur-de-Lis Fob by New England Watch Co. 1898 - 1914

This beautiful sterling silver bright turquoise enamel guilloche pocket watch and matching fob was made by the New England Watch Co. between 1898 and 1914.  Originally the Waterbury Co. of Waterbury, Connecticut, it was renamed New England Watch Co. in 1898.  Then in 1914 it was bought by Robert Ingersoll & Bros.  It has beautiful gold gilt and silver flowers on both the front and back and accents on the fob. There are no markings on the watch itself and the inside of the case is marked "Sterling" and "Swiss Enamel".  The matching fob is marked "Sterling" and bears the New England hallmark of NE in a heart shape.  The movement has jewels, at least 5 that I can see.  It works sporadically and tends to run very fast.  I'm not sure how exactly to slow it down although there is a setting for Slow and Fast (I think you would need a jeweler to re-set the speed).  It's a beautiful watch and the fob can be removed and worn as a pin if desired.  The watch itself measures about 1-1/4" diameter.  The fob measures a bit over 1" long and the length of the piece together is about 2-5/8". Condition is excellent with exception of a wee bit of discoloration on the lower right at about 5 o'clock ... it may be a miniscule fleabite but really hard to tell.  In any case, it's just gorgeous and not a big deal to me.

14K Gold Pallas Pocket Watch

rosette Gorgeous Sterling Silver Enamel Guilloche Pocket Watch with Francois Boucher's Four Seasons on Back

This stunning lady's antique pocket watch was made in Switzerland in the late 1890's.  It came in its -- I believe -- original velvet lined wooden box with a cartouche on the top where someone could put a monogram if desired.  The watch is sterling silver with an enamel guilloche surround on the front with pale sage green acanthus leaves and flowers.  The back of the watch is done in lavender enamel guilloche surrounded in the same sage green.  In the enamel guilloche is a figural scene I believe to be taken from Francois Boucher's Four Seasons.  There is no damage to the enamel ... it is so much more beautiful in person than these photos show. The watch is in excellent condition and it is running at the present time.  The movement is a pin set movement and it does have jewels but I am not sure how many.  I can see two rubies for sure in the video of the watch running. Box measures 3-1/2" x 2-3/4" x 1-1/8" high.  Watch measures 1" diameter.

Bucherer Enamel Guilloche Watch

rosette Ball-Shaped Sterling Silver Enamel Pendant Watch with Hand-Painted Gold Birds & Enamel Guilloche Chain - 17 Jewel Swiss Movement by Bucherer

This is a rather unusual ball-shaped watch made by Bucherer in that the enamel on the ball itself is not guilloche but solid and has beautiful hand-painted gold leaf barn swallows painted all around it.  It is a design I have not seen before.  The chain that came with it has blue enamel guilloche links which blend very nicely with the watch.  The enameling on the links is perfect with the exception of one small flake on the back side of one link (see photos).  The movement is Swiss and has 17 jewels and the watch is in perfect running condition.  See the video below to see it running.  There are 10 enameled links in the chain ... so pretty! The watch itself measures 3/4" diameter. The chain is extra long measuring almost 32".  Inside one half of the ball are hallmarks for 935 sterling and the symbol for Switzerland.. According to Marks4Antiques, "This watch is from their (Bucherer's) Art Deco period of designs.  Based on similarly styled examples having the same mechanical characteristics, we believe this to date from around the 1930s".   It is in working condition at the time of this writing.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

Enamel Guilloche Pendant Watch

rosette Bell-Shaped Peach Enamel Guilloche Pendant Watch by Mayfair with Antimagnetic Swiss Movement

Here is a very rare peach color enamel guilloche bell-shaped watch made by Mayfair.  It is also marked Vivax which may be the model, I'm not sure.  The movement was made by Bayer, Pretzfelder & Mills, Inc, and has a one-jewel Swiss movement. According to my research, this watch was made in 1934.  The holder for the bail is set inside brass flower petals which is very pretty.  It is marked Mayfair and Germany on the case rim.  It has lovely pink hand-painted roses around the perimeter and it is in excellent working condition. The enameling is in very good condition with three teeny little specks of enamel missing but it is very hard to see them, especially the one on the bottom edge as the tiny painted leaves look the same.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

Bucherer Enamel Guilloche Watch

rosette Ball-Shaped Sterling Silver Enamel Guilloche Pendant Watch with Hand-Painted Roses & Matching Enamel Guilloche Chain - 15 Jewel Swiss Movement by Bucherer

Bucherer is one of my favorite watch makers ... it seems like I always fall in love with their gorgeous designs. This one is a beautiful light green enamel guilloche with hand-painted roses all around the top and bottom of the ball shape.  The matching enamel guilloche chain even has tiny roses hand-painted on each one.  The watch is in perfect running condition.  The movement is Swiss and it has 15 jewels.  See the video below to see it running.  Conditionwise, there is a flake on one side but it is just in the clear coating on the enamel so it is very hard to see.  There is also a teeny bit of wear around the face and a teeny speck on the middle sectino where the pieces join; but again, this is very hard to see in person.  Keep in mind that my photos are about 200 times bigger than the actual item so they will be much more visible on here than live. The enamel guilloche on the chain links is all perfect.  There are 15 of these little links in the chain ... so pretty! The watch itself measures 3/4" diameter. The chain is extra long measuring almost 30".

14K Gold Pallas Pocket Watch

rosette Gorgeous 14K Gold Pallas Para Pocket Watch with Royal Blue Enamel Guilloche Case with Gold Flowers - 17 Jewels

This beautiful lady's pocket watch by Pallas Para is encased in 14K gold with a deep royal blue enamel guilloche back which is enhanced with (probably 24K) gold flowers.  It is just a stunning piece that would be beautiful worn on a chain or attached to a fob.  Unfortunately, the watch is not in working condition at this time but does seem to be intact.  It may just need a cleaning but I have no one in this area who does this kind of work.  Either way, it is still a beautiful piece to wear even just as jewelry.  The movement is 17 jewels and the case is marked 14K.  Measures just about 1" diameter not counting crown or bail.

Pegasus Pendant Watch

rosette Rare Swiss PEGASUS Figural Ball Pendant Watch in Sterling Silver Enamel Guilloche - 15 Jewels

Very rarely found is this wonderful and whimsical pegasus figural watch done in enamel guilloche on sterling silver in a ball shaped pendant.  The watch was made in Switzerland and was made by Ultus and/or Ablus (Ultus is on the works, Ablus is on the face) and the hallmark is the bear which dates from 1882 - 1934.  It has 15 jewels.  The enameling on the pegasus and around the bail is inlaid green while the background is a pretty robins egg blue.  It is so pretty!  Condition of the enamel is excellent and the watch runs but not for any length of time (10 minutes or so).  I think this would be a simple clean and lube to get running full time but I would rather leave that to the next owner as they may wish to wear it as a lovely piece of jewelry only.  It is also possible that once it is being worn on a regular basis, the mechanism may continue working on its own from the vibrations.  I have included a video below to see the movement working.  All hallmarks can be seen inside the case.  I am including a new sterling silver chain to go along with it at no charge.  Measures a bit under 1" diameter not counting bail.

Bucherer Pendant Watch

rosetteSterling Silver Lavender Enamel Guilloche Ball Watch - 17 Jewel Swiss Movement by Bucherer

Bucherer is one of my favorite watch makers ... it seems like I always fall in love with their gorgeous designs. This one is no exception being a beautiful lavender color with a black accent band around the middle.  The hands and numerals on the watch face are done in gold which reflects the light and makes it easy to read. The movement is Swiss made and has 17 jewels. The enameling on the watch is all perfect with no chips or damage of any kind.  The swan hallmark found inside the case was used beginning in 1935 in Switzerland.  It is marked sterling silver as well.  There is a pretty gold chain that came with this one which is very elegant; however, I do not think it is original to the piece as it seems a bit more contemporary in design.  It is in working condition at the time of this writing.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

Bucherer Enamel Guilloche Watch

rosette Diamond Shaped Sterling Silver Enamel Guilloche Pendant Watch with Hand-Painted Roses & Matching E.G. Chain - 17 Jewel Swiss Movement by Bucherer

Bucherer is one of my favorite watch makers ... it seems like I always fall in love with their gorgeous designs. This one is a beautiful snow white enamel guilloche in a diamond shape with hand-painted roses on the front and back of the case and matching enamel guilloche chain. Even the little bail is white enamel guilloche.  The enamel guilloche on the watch is pristine and the chain links are all perfect.  There are 14 of these little links in the chain ... so pretty! The watch itself measures almost 1-1/8" long x 7/8" wide. The chain is extra long measuring 32". It has a 17 jewel Swiss movement with 3 adjustments. This one is marked 935 sterling inside the case which opens on a hinged side. Switzerland Sterling Watch

rosette Sterling Silver Swiss Watch with Blue Enamel Guilloche Case, Sapphire Jeweled Stem and Seed Pearls Border - Very Unusual Chain!

I absolutely adore this beautiful enamel guilloche watch not only for its rich blue coloring but for its unique design.  The watch is suspended from a swivel arm which allows the watch to be flipped back and forth.  It has a spring clasp ring at the top which could attach it to a chatelaine.  The bottom has a long double chain with two silver tassels suspended from the bottom and a blue enamel slide.  I have never run across another watch even remotely like it! There is a blue sapphire jewel on the stem and the back side of the case has gold stars sprinkled around the enamel guilloche background.  Although there is no maker on the watch face, the inside of the case is marked Argent and 800 for sterling plus a hallmark for Switzerland (grouse) dating it from 1882 - 1934.  It is not in working condition but it is a beautiful piece of jewelry in and of itself. There is one tiny seed pearl missing on each side which should be easy enough to replace. I will see if I can locate one in my jewelry caches.  The watch itself measures a bit over 1" diameter.  The length of the chains from top to bottom when stretched out are 10-1/2".

Huguenin Ball Watch

rosette Huguenin Blue Enamel Guilloche Ball Watch with Gold Sunburst Design, Swiss Works

This lovely watch has been a part of my collection since 2005.  It was made by Huguenin, a company which has been in business continually since 1868.  This watch is a beautiful example of their fine craftsmanship with a lovely rich blue enamel guilloche case embellished with bright gold sunbursts and dots all the way around.  I have been unable to open the case to find out how many jewels it has or to verify the sterling content but I was told it was sterling when I purchased it and based on the quality of this company's pieces, I wouldn't think otherwise.  There is a lovely gold embossed chain which was included with it when I purchased it.  Watch measures 3/4" diameter not counting stem and chain is approximately 28" around (14" drop). Although I was not able to get a video of the watch running, it is working and keeping excellent time.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

London Enamel Guilloche Watch

rosette Sterling Silver Enamel Guilloche Wrist Watch with Swiss Movement Hallmarked London 1916

This stunning wrist watch is a beautiful example of enamel guilloche done in  rare flowers in the guilloche portion rather than painted on the surface.  And it is hallmarked 925 Sterling from London with the date year being 1916 ... nearly 100 years old!  The movement is Swiss but there is no maker's mark on the works.  It is a pin-set movement and the watch runs well at this time.  Other than the case being made in London in 1916, I do not know who made the case either as I cannot identify the other marks.  There is some discoloration along the edges in a few places as will be shown in the close-ups but they are not very noticeable unless looking closely.  The leather band is marked Kreisler.  The watch face measures 1-1/8" diameter.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

Bucherer Enamel Guilloche Watch

rosette Sterling Silver Enamel Guilloche Pendant Watch with Matching Enamel Guilloche Chain - 17 Jewel Swiss Movement by Bucherer

Bucherer is one of my favorite watch makers ... it seems like I always fall in love with their gorgeous designs. This one is a beautiful turquoise blue in an elongated oval shape with a matching enamel guilloche chain. The enamel guilloche on the watch is pristine and the chain links are all perfect.  The design on the back of the case is a radiant sunburst which is so pretty and the turquoise color is deeper than the lighter aqua shades Bucherer is so fond of.  The removable chain is extra long measuring 35" and there are 16 enameled links. The watch measures 1-1/8" long (not counting ring at top) x 5/8" wide.  The watch itself has a 17 jewel Swiss movement with 3 adjustments. This one is marked 925 sterling inside the case. Circa 1920's - 30's, it is in working condition at the time of this writing.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

Bucherer Enamel Guilloche Watch

rosette Sterling Silver Figural Art Nouveau Enamel Guilloche Watch - 15 Jewel Swiss Movement by Bucherer

This stunning lilac enamel guilloche figural watch has been a prize of mine for years ... it was even featured in an article in Treasures magazine April 2013 (copy of which will be included with purchase). The oval watch face is silver in color with black numerals and hands. The reverse side has a full figure of an Art Nouveau lady with a filmy diaphanous gown and sash ... very pretty and nicely detailed. The matching chain has enamel guilloche elongated links as well as open diamonds which are also covered in lilac enamel guilloche. The enamel guilloche on the watch is excellent but there is some age appropriate loss on some of the links but overall they are mostly intact. The case has the hallmarks with the Bear Rampant which was the Swiss Standard for 935 Sterling Silver prior to 1933. The case is also marked Fresard Swiss and 935 sterling. The watch movement is 15 jewels Swiss by Bucherer, one of the finest watch manufacturers of their time.  The watch measures 1-3/8" long x almost 3/4" wide. The chain is about 27-1/2" long. It is in working condition at the time of this writing.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

Enamel Guilloche Watch

rosette Sterling Silver Emerald Green Enamel Guilloche Watch by Fischer with Gold Fob - 17 Jewel Swiss Movement

This lovely sterling silver watch made by Fischer is done in a lovely shade of emerald green with gold decoration on the back of the case. The face of the watch has gold numerals and hands to match the gold fob made to look like a ribbon. Hallmarks inside the case indicate the case was made by Leon Frossard of Switzerland between 1934 - 1944 and it is 925 sterling. The fob is of unknown origin to me although it is also hallmarked G*K and Amerig. Metal (I do not believe this is sterling). I have not been able to find out much about Fischer, but the movement is 17 jewels and is Swiss made. Watch hangs upside down so that it can be read when wearing. The watch measures 3/4" diameter. Fob is 1-3/8" wide. Overall length when together is approx. 1-5/8" long. It is in working condition at the time of this writing.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

Bucherer Enamel Guilloche Ball Watch

rosette Marcasite Jeweled Sterling Silver Blue Enamel Guilloche Ball Watch with Hand-Painted Roses on Watch & Matching Chain AND Original Box! - 17 Jewel Swiss Movement by Bucherer

Here we have another of my faves ... an enamel guilloche ball watch with hand-painted roses on both the watch and the chain ... marcasite jewels around the middle ... and the original velvet lined box with the Bucherer label in the lid. The color is a medium shade of blue and the roses are pink. I love the box as well ... it is blue satin on the outside and has a little pearly button to open it. This watch is truly one of the most stunning you will ever see. The entire watch and chain are in mint condition with no loss of enamel or chips of any kind. There are two of the tiny marcasites missing and I will try to locate a few of these from another piece of jewelry to replace them. It is marked 925 sterling inside the case. The watch measures 3/4" diameter and the chain is 28" long. Circa 1930's, it is in working condition at the time of this writing.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

NOTE: The color of the blue in these pictures is not very true ... it is more of a medium shade -- or a Cornflower blue shade -- and not turquoise or teal as the pictures show. For some reason, I could not get the camera to take an accurate color shot.

Pierpont Enamel Guilloche Watch

rosette Jeweled Sterling Silver Enamel Guilloche Locket Watch Dated 1926 - 6 Jewel Swiss Movement by Abra

The is a stunning watch case made by Adams Watch Co. of sterling silver and turquoise blue enamel guilloche with a blue sapphire push button at the top which opens the watch in the center front. Inside there is a place on either side to put a picture (retaining clips are still intact). The watch face is exquisitely detailed with cobalt blue numerals and iridized blue hands but the best part is the center of the face ... it is richly engraced and diamond cut to reflect the light so that it literally sparkles ... pictures could not do it justice! The back side of the case (or the front if you choose to wear it that way) is done in matching enamel guilloche with flowers in the center design. The watch can be removed from the case and it is marked "Adams Watch Inc. Nickel" on the back of the watch housing. The case is marked "Adams Watch Inc. Sterling Pat. Nov. 9 1926" and a patent number. The watch movement itself is marked Abra Watch Co. Swiss Geneva 6 Jewels. The watch measures 7/8" wide x 1-1/4" high not counting the push stem. There is one tiny spot of enamel loss on the front top left corner*, other than that it only has superficial scuffs visible when held to light. The watch has to be removed from the case and opened in order to be wound and set. It will run but not for extensive length of time.

*Note: I have played around with touching this spot up with just a bit of nail enamel which can easily be removed if you prefer.  I have added pics showing how it looks.

Bucherer Enamel Guilloche Watch
Bucherer Enamel Guilloche Watch

rosette "Exhibition" Case Sterling Silver Enamel Guilloche Lapel Watch with Hand-Painted Roses on Watch & Matching Fob - 17 Jewel Swiss Movement by Bucherer

This is a very rare and unique watch made by Bucherer with a visible escapement also known as an "Exhibition" case. I even recently was told that sometimes these were used as salesmen's samples to show the movement of the watch without having to open the case ... an interesting bit of history to be sure! The watch is done in a gorgeous shade of turquoise with hand-painted pink roses on both sides as well as the matching bow-shaped fob. Very sweet! The face is large and easy to read with gold hands and bars for the numbers. Both the fob and the watch are hallmarked for Carl Bucherer and I would date this to the 1930's. The entire watch and fob are in excellent condition with no loss of enamel or chips of any kind. It is marked 925 sterling inside the case. The watch measures 1" in diameter and the bow fob is 1-1/2" wide; overall length is 2-1/4". Bucherer Enamel Guilloche Watch
Bucherer Enamel Guilloche Watch

rosette Figural Sterling Silver Cobalt Blue Enamel Guilloche Watch with Hand-Painted Variant of Boucher's "Charms of Country Life" Painting & Matching Chain - 17 Jewel Swiss Movement by Bucherer

Rarely will you find figural watches made by Bucherer and this one is exquisite in a rich shade of cobalt blue enamel guilloche on the front and sides and even the chain. But what makes it extraordinary is the rendition taken from Francois Boucher's 1740 painting entitled "Charms of Country Life." While a close-up of the painting shows that it is not the finest quality, just the fact that it was even done like this is amazing. The chain has 10 matching cobalt enamel guilloche links that have a deeper blue in the center making it luminous appearing. It is marked 925 sterling inside the case which is also signed Bucherer and has the duck standard mark which began to be used in 1933. All of the enameling is in absolutely perfect condition. The watch measures 15/16" wide x 1" long and the chain is 27" long. Circa 1930's, it is in working condition at the time of this writing.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

Bucherer Enamel Guilloche Watch
Bucherer Enamel Guilloche Watch

rosette Sterling Silver Blue Enamel Guilloche Watch with Hand-Painted Roses & E.G. Chain with Original Bucherer Box! - 17 Jewel Swiss Movement by Bucherer

A part of my personal collection for over 12 years, this beautiful watch by Carl Bucherer is in a lovely shade of cornflower blue enamel guilloche with hand-painted pink roses on the back. The chain is done in matching blue enamel guilloche. The case is marked 925 sterling and has the bear mark which dates it between 1888 and 1933. And the best part is that it comes in its original box with the Bucherer label inside the lid. The top of the box shows a village scene in Switzerland ... some of the picture is worn at the top corners but just having the original box in itself is amazing! The enameling on the chain is all in perfect condition. The enameling on the front and back of the watch itself is also perfect; however, along the bottom edge there is enamel loss evident in the pictures but when being worn, it is at the very bottom so is not noticeable at all. The watch measures almost 1" wide x 1" long not counting bail or stem and the chain is 31" long not counting bail. It is in working condition at the time of this writing.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

Bucherer Enamel Guilloche Watch

rosette Marquis Shaped Sterling Silver Enamel Guilloche Pendant Watch with Hand-Painted Roses, Tassel & Matching E.G. Chain - 17 Jewel Swiss Movement by Bucherer

Bucherer is one of my favorite watch makers ... it seems like I always fall in love with their gorgeous designs. This one is a beautiful turquoise blue in a marquis shape with hand-painted roses on the front and back of the case and matching enamel guilloche chain. But look at that tassel! Rarely have I ever - in fact, never! - seen a watch like this. It is fantastic! The enamel guilloche on the watch is pristine and the chain links are all perfect with one exception and it is the tiniest tiniest fleabite on just one of them that is barely noticeable at all. The watch itself measures almost 1-1/2" long x 5/8" wide. The tassel is 2" long and the chain is extra long measuring 33". It has a 17 jewel Swiss movement with 3 adjustments. This one is marked 800 sterling inside the case which opens on a hinged side. Circa 1920's - 30's, it is in working condition at the time of this writing.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

Figural Enamel Guilloche Ball Watch
Figural Enamel Guilloche Ball Watch

rosette Figural Clown Sterling Silver Blue Enamel Guilloche Watch with Matching E.G. Chain - 15 Jewel Swiss Movement by J Grevere

What a fun little pendant watch this is! Done in a lovely shade of blue enamel guilloche (with matching chain), there is a terrific hand-painted clown skipping along and kicking his red hat in the air. It is just so whimsical! I especially like the shape of this one ... it is like a bell. The watch is done in 935 sterling silver and has a 15 jewel Swiss movement by J Grevere. This is a truly beautiful Bucherer candy pink enamel guilloche ball watch with matching enamel guilloche chain. The hands and numerals on the watch face are done in black for easy reading. There are little gold flowers around the face in the blue enamel guilloche. The enameling is all in great condition with one exception and it is felt rather than seen ... the top of the clown's head appears to have a flake in the clearcoat which I only noticed when I was looking with a loupe as my fingers felt something there. But it is not noticeable at all. Enameling on the chainlinks is all perfect. Measures 7/8" diameter (not counting stem) and is 3/4" high (not counting bail). The chain is about 25" long. Circa 1920's - 30's, it is in working condition at the time of this writing.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

Enamel Guilloche Pendant Watch

rosette Sterling Silver Enamel Guilloche Pendant Watch with E.G. Chain - 17 Jewel Swiss Movement by Seega Geneve.

Here is another beautiful enamel guilloche watch done in a sunny yellow color with a matching enamel guilloche link chain.  It is disk shaped rather than a ball and has a very unique design in the guilloche (the close-up of the back will show what I mean).  There are deep triangular shapes engraved in the underlying sterling and some of these are filled with red enamel which gives it a jeweled effect on the back side.  It has a 17 jewel movement made by Seega Geneve Switzerland.  The case is marked Nadine and B & C and 925 sterling.  Watch measures 3/4" diameter x 3/8" thick (not counting bail or stem). The chain measures 23" long total. Circa 1920's - 30's, it is in working condition at the time of this writing.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

Bucherer Enamel Guilloche Ball Watch

rosette Sterling Silver Red Enamel Guilloche Ball Watch with Hand-Painted Roses - 17 Jewel Swiss Movement by Bucherer

Bucherer is one of my favorite watch makers ... it seems like I always fall in love with their gorgeous designs. This one is no exception in that it has a deep red enamel guilloche with hand-painted roses around both the face and the bottom half of the ball. The reason so many of the red enamels have a goldish tinge to them is because gold is actually used in the process of making red enamel. This one actually has a goldish red band in the center and the very edges at the center are also golder than the rest of the red. You will be able to see the distinguishing difference in the photos I have taken. The hands and numerals on the watch face are done in gold which reflects the light and makes it easy to read. The gold chain that came with this one is accented with pretty white pearls and long bars that lend to its elegance. The enameling on the watch is all perfect with no chips or damage of any kind. Circa 1920's - 30's, it is in working condition at the time of this writing.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

Enamel Guilloche Pendant Watch

rosette Bell-Shaped Sterling Silver Green Enamel Guilloche Pendant Watch with E.G. Chain and Sapphire Jeweled Stem - 15 Jewel Swiss Movement by Eton Watch Co.

This beautiful enamel guilloche watch is in the shape of a bell and was made by Eton Watch Co. Done on 935 sterling silver, it is covered in emerald green enamel guilloche with tiny gold stars encircling both top and bottom of the case. The chain is also done in a lovely shade of emerald enamel guilloche.  The hands and numerals on the watch face are done in black with in iridescent finish that reflects a deep blue in the light and there is a blue sapphire jewel in the winding stem. The works are marked Eton Watch. Co. and has 15 jewels with 2 adjustments (not sure what that means). The case portion is also signed Eton and is all hallmarked for 935 sterling. The enameling is perfect condition on the watch.  There is some enamel loss on some of the chainlinks but not too noticeable unless you are looking for it.  Watch measures 1-1/8" long x 7/8" wide (not counting bail or stem). The chain measures 33" long total. Circa 1920's - 30's, it is in working condition at the time of this writing.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

Enamel Guilloche Pendant Watch

rosette Sterling Silver Enamel Guilloche Pendant Watch with Hand-Painted Tennis Motif - 15 Jewel Swiss Movement by Abra Watch Co.

Just wait till you see all the close-ups of this fantastic little watch! Made by Abra on 925 sterling silver, it is covered in baby blue enamel guilloche with the most wonderful hand-painted tennis designs on it: a pair of tennis rackets, 3 tennis balls, and the net! Very, very cute! If you are a tennis buff (and even if you just like unusual jewelry), then this is the watch for you. There is a chain that came with it that is done in blue enameled bar links but not guilloche and I don't think it is original to the piece but goes nicely enough. The hands and numerals on the watch face are done in black and there is a very sparkly silver design in the center of the face that glitters. The works are marked Abra Watch. Co. and has 15 jewels with 2 adjustments (not sure what that means). The case portion is also signed Abra and is all hallmarked for 925 sterling. The enameling on the case is in absolutely pristine condition. The chain enamel does have some age appropriate loss wear. Watch is 7/8" diameter (not counting bail or stem). Circa 1920's - 30's, it is in working condition at the time of this writing.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

Enamel Guilloche Pendant Watch

rosette Sterling Silver Enamel Guilloche Lapel Watch with Ocean Motif & Matching Fleur-de-Lis Fob - 17 Ruby Jewel Swiss Movement by Venus

This beautiful lapel watch has been in my collection for almost 15 years and has always been a favorite of mine. It is done in a rich turquoise blue enamel guilloche in an ocean theme with several different fish done in variations of the guilloche pattern in white with seaweed and coral and bubbles in the water. What I especially love is how the fish tails continue from the top half to the bottom half ... a touch of exceptional workmanship and attention to detail! The matching fob is 800 sterling silver with the maker's initials of RW in a diamond (not sure who this is but will try to find out). The watch casing is 925 sterling. This is an extremely rare and beautiful watch and it is in pristine condition. The photo makes the fob look gold but it is actually silver. The hands and numerals on the watch face are done in gold to make them easier to read. Hallmarks inside the case indicate the case was made by Leon Frossard of Switzerland between 1934 - 1944. Watch is 3/4" diameter (not counting bail or stem). Fob is 1" x 5/8" not counting the links at the bottom. Circa 1930's, it is in working condition at the time of this writing.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

Enamel Guilloche Pendant Watch

rosette Unique Sterling Silver Enamel Guilloche "Jockey or Baseball Cap" Shaped Pendant Watch with Hand-Painted Roses - 15 Jewel Movement Swiss Works by Abra Watch Co.

Here we have a very unique and unusually shaped pendant watch ... this one looks like a baseball or jockey cap when viewed from the side. Done on 935 sterling silver, it is covered in baby blue enamel guilloche with pink hand-painted roses on the front and the cap or back side. There is a chain that came with it that is done in blue enameled bar links but not guilloche. I am not sure if it is original to the piece or not but it was what came with it, so I assume it is. The hands and numerals on the watch face are done in black. The works are marked Abra Watch. Co. and has 15 jewels with 2 adjustments (not sure what that means). The case portion is also signed Abra and is all hallmarked for 935 sterling. The enameling is near perfect with only the most minute fleabites visible in the supersized images I have provided ... you wouldn't even notice these in person. The chain enamel does have some age appropriate loss but nothing too bad. Measures 1-1/4" long x 7/8" wide (not counting bail or stem). Circa 1920's - 30's, it is in working condition at the time of this writing.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

Enamel Guilloche Pendant Watch

rosette Coral Enamel Guilloche Sterling Silver Pendant Watch with Enameled Chain - 15 Jewel Movement Swiss Works by Banner Watch Co.

This pretty diamond-shaped coral enamel guilloche pendant watch is sterling silver with a 15 jewel Swiss movement made by Banner Watch Co.  The case is signed Banner Watch Co., Swiss, and 925 Sterling.  The movement has 3 adjustments (not sure what that means) but the watch does not run.  Everything is intact inside and the balance wheel can move when tweaked but it will not continue to run.  The enameling on the watch is all in great condition.  The chain has enameled bars that are a pinker color than the watch case and this shows some very very minor wear to one or two of the bars at most.  The chain on this measures only 17" long ... the watch itself measures 1-1/4" long x 1" wide (not counting bail or stem).

Note:  This watch was working when I bought it 11 years ago ... so perhaps all that is needed is a cleaning.

Enamel Guilloche Watch

rosette Sterling Silver Enamel Guilloche Lapel Watch with Hand-Painted Flower Basket and Matching Fob - 17 Jewel Swiss Movement by Atlanta Geneve

Here is a lovely piece of jewelry as well as a functional (when working) watch all done on sterling silver in yellow enamel guilloche with hand-painted pink roses, even on the matching fob. The front of the watch has hand-painted roses all around. The back of the case which hangs from the fob as a brooch has a hand-painted flower basket filled with roses on a buttery yellow enamel guilloche. This is all surrounded by faux pearl gems. The case and fob are hallmarked for 925 sterling. The case is stamped "B & C" while the watch works are marked Atlanta Geneve.   The enameling on the watch and fob is all in great condition.  Now for the bad news: the watch does not run. And there is a scuff on the crystal that is visible in the pictures. Other than that it is a great piece of jewelry and it is priced accordingly (actually the fob alone is worth the price!).  Overall measurements are 1-1/4" wide x 2-1/2" long. The fob measures 1-1/4" wide x 1" long. The watch is a bit over an inch diameter not counting the bail or stem.

Note:  This watch was working when I bought it 12 years ago ... so perhaps all that is needed is a cleaning.

I have never had another watch like this ... it is made by Bucherer who is known for the quality of their workmanship.  It was so difficult to get close-ups of this because of its size but there is a hand-painted pink rose on the side opposite the stem and each end has a little leaf design.  It is not sterling but  just a silver metal.  Comes with a blue velvet pouch (visible in pics). Enamel Guilloche Pendant Watch

rosette Very Unusual Sterling Silver Blue Enamel Guilloche Pendant Watch by Juvenia Mfg. Co.

This is a very interesting pendant watch made by Juvenia Mfg. Co. (in business since 1860 - I believe this watch is from the 1920's). It is an elongated teardrop shape with a beautiful blue enamel guilloche covering. The little bubble top lifts to reveal a teeny little watch which still runs.  The top portion can be unscrewed and there is an opening in the bottom portion with a plunger. It has a 10 jewel movement and a sterling silver (hallmarked inside) case. It's just a lovely piece of jewelry as well as a functioning timepiece.  Measures 2-1/4" long x 1" wide at the little "handles". As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

Art Deco Sterling Silver Watch

rosette Art Deco Marcasite Jeweled Pendant Watch by Speck Watch Factory, Germany, 15 Jewel Movement, Sterling Silver, Matching Chain!

This stunning Art Deco style pendant watch was made in Germany by Speck Watch Factory on a sterling silver body.  The case is encircled with marcasites and is done in a pretty green shade with black bands.  It is enameled and has a matching black and green enameled chain.  The movement has 15 jewels (appear to be rubies) and two adjustment settings.  Enameling is all in excellent condition with two small areas where the clear coat is chipped (very difficult to notice without a loupe) and marcasites are all intact.  Enameling on the bar links in the chain is all perfect.  There are 11 enameled links on the chain and the overall length of the watch when hanging is 18-1/4".  The watch itself is about 7/8" diameter.  Circa 1920's - 30's.  It is all original and is in working condition at the time of this writing.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

Bucherer Enamel Guilloche Pendant Watch

rosette Bucherer 17 Jewel Movement Pendant Watch in Crimson Enamel Guilloche Case with Gold Stars and Matching Chain!

This stunning enamel guilloche watch was made by Bucherer of a rich crimson red with gold stars (very rare color!).  The face is marked Bucherer 17 Jewels and Swiss Made on the lower part of the face.  The chain is matching with 14 enameled links with gold stars and a red enameled teardrop right above where the watch is attached.Enameling is all in excellent condition with only a small sliver (too small to photograph clearly) right at the juncture of the two halves of the watch near the center silver band (probably from someone trying to open the watch).  The overall length of the watch when hanging is 17".  The chain length is 30" total.  Note that the red enamel on the chain is a lighter shade than the watch, probably due to the thinner application but it is not an exact match when placed right against each other.  The watch itself is about 7/8" diameter.  Circa mid-20th century.  It is all original and is in working condition at the time of this writing.  As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.  We only guarantee it will be working upon receipt.

What a gorgeous piece of jewelry this is! A blue enamel guilloche sterling silver pin with pink hand-painted roses on either side.
